Goldfish Swim School, a first-class swimming facility that combines guided play with a safe environment to teach children “The Science of Swim Play,” will celebrate the grand opening of its new 8,000-square-foot location at Tangram in Flushing on Saturday, March 18.
The public is invited to attend the event that will be held from noon to 4 p.m. with snacks, a DJ, face painting, crafts, raffle and prizes and a VIP photo area. Goldfish Swim School’s new location features a 75-foot, three-lane swimming pool and a viewing area for parents at Tangram, located at 133-27 39th Ave.
As an official partner of the USA Swimming Foundation, Goldfish Swim School teaches more than 130,000 children from infants to 12-years-old per week across the country how to swim and gain critical life skills.
The Tangram location can host up to 3,000 children and their parents each week — the facility offers family-fun swim lessons, perfect for children to flaunt their new skills to their parents. After swim lessons, families can satiate their hunger at the snack bar or venture out to enjoy one of the many food offerings at Tangram — including the brand-new Food Hall with sweet and savory food and beverage options for every walk of life.
Goldfish Swim School was founded by couple Chris and Jenny McCuiston. Classes are offered by specially trained instructors in a safe, child-friendly and fun environment using their research-based philosophy called The Science of SwimPlay. Headquartered in Troy, Michigan, Goldfish Swim School was established in Birmingham, Michigan, in 2006, and opened its first franchise location in 2009. Recently, the brand was recognized by Entrepreneur in its Franchise 500 ranking, Franchise Times’ 2020 Fast & Serious List and Inc. Magazine’s 2019 Top 5000.
